Marketing Online and Offline

There are endless ways to marketing online and offline.  Here we will discuss all the wonderful ways of getting the most bang for your buck.  While offline marketing used to be the only way to go, the internet has changed the marketing game forever.  Most people have online access in their own homes and is now a very powerful tool for marketing your business.  The most common way to promote online is by the power of having your very own website.  With getting your own website being easy as 1-2-3 these days, virtually anybody can start up their own business and right from the comfort of their own home. So obviously having a website online means you’ll spend a bit of time and money marketing there, but let’s not forget the traditional offline methods that have worked so well for a very long time.

The most common ways of offline market include: * Television * Radio * Newspapers * Magazines * Flyers & Postcards

Radio commercials are surprisingly inexpensive and is a great way to get the promotion power you need with a lot of listeners ready to hear what you are selling.  Check your local radio stations websites and look for advertising opportunities either via their website or by the power of their airwaves.

The brilliance in radio marketing is that they’ve already done the hardest work for you; establishing a large fan base of regular listens that come by the thousands!  You can even target your audience by knowing what kind of listeners are tuning into the radio station.  For example, you wouldn’t want to promote a new teen hangout on a Oldies radio station.  You would be better off targeting your listeners in the teen age group and would probably be best marketing to what teens listen to today.

Let’s not forget the power of a timeless classic for promoters; the newspaper.  Advertising in your local newspaper is one of the most inexpensive ways of offline marketing and not only do you catch the attention of thousands of readers, it can also serve as a flyer if the consumer cuts out your ad and keeps it laying around the house for future reference.  If readers are looking for the latest hotspot on a Saturday night, they are going to turn to the entertainment section of the newspaper, so instead of targeting your audience, the audience will actually be targeting you! The most effective way for promoting both online and offline, is to simply combine the both.

While you write up that ad for the newspaper, why not include your website’s URL at the bottom?  With the internet being one of the most powerful promotion tools out there today, it can also serve as a great way for potential customers to get more information, directions, and maybe even see pictures of what you have to offer.

Visual marketing can be more effective than just a plain text ad. It also serves as a great way for your visitors to spread the word about you to their friends and family. Word of mouth is one of the most valued and easiest ways to not only advertise, but it’s also free and constantly ongoing.
