Web Design Humor from YOUTUBE

There are many web design companies on the internet, but only a few are designed toward humor. However, there are some web-sites that use humor as the basis of their site.

There is one that works better than any other. That is “YOUTUBE”. Since 2005, this site has posted thousands of amateur and professional videos. By using the Abode Flash Player, YouTube can allow video clips to be posted from camcorder recordings, computer generated web-cams, and even clips produce from cellphone recordings.

Upon further investigation of the “YOUTUBE” web site, you will find 5 tabs at the top of the page. The Video tab has approximately 14 to 15 different types of clips that you can view. The comedy section and the film & animation section are geared more for web design humor.

The Channels Tab that has 8 sections that can be viewed, one of which is about comedians, directors, musicians, Gurus, and several others, or you can watch the Most Viewed (This Week), all of which are worth watching.

There is a search bar that will help navigate you to a particular video, such as “crazy Frog Videos”. It will take you to the Crazy Frog Animation Section which will let you watch this video and make your own judgment over the controversy that has been reported about Crazy Frog.

On the Video Tab in the music section you will be able to watch such videos as American Idol, almost any video from the Backstreet Boys to Paula Abdul.

If you are one of the World of Warcraft fans, just use the search bar to type in World of Warcraft, or WOW addicts to see some of the funniest and most interesting examples of web design humor. Another example, if you like fishing and bloopers, type in fishing bloopers in the search bar. I promise you will be very amused and entertained.

In the Community Tab, they run contest for certain videos; one such fascinating one is the Kitchen Rhythems Contest as well as a Sketch Comedy Con

Also in the Community Tab, under the video toolbox, you will get advice on producing a video. They give advice on how to make the sound better, including audio secrets, how to direct and produce a clip, how to shoot and the camera work, advice about how to do the lighting, camera effects, you can view clips about post production editing, most interesting is the YouTube Videos for Dummies.

Overall, YOUTUBE is a very well presented and productive web site that that involves its viewer content to help make it the #1 website of all time, with “MySpace” coming in second. You will spend hours, no days watching all that YOUTUBE has to offer, and this changes everyday. You will probably end up like me, too, a YOUTUBE addict.
